CHI Christmas Party

(click on the images to enlarge)

Last night I had the pleasure of going to the CHI Christmas do, and wow what a night it was!
The venue: The Haywood Gallery. The theme: Cluedo!
On arrival I was greeted with lots of free Champagne, oh how lovely.... Then I dined on an array of wonderful canapes and little tin pots of sausages and mashed potatoes, yummy yummy.
The first room I went in was divided into sections, just like the board game - so I spent some time in the Billiard room playing... Ermm, Billiards! Thankfully I had some help from Kathy Howes from CHI as I wasn’t getting on very well with the big scarey stick thing!
Then the police came, it was suddenly very loud and scary - they arrested us ALL and we were sent to jail!
Don't worry though folks, jail was simply fabulous, lots of cocktails, live music and hunky men dancing and taking their clothes off which the girls (and some of the boys) seemed to like. So we danced the rest of the night away in style.

It was great evening - thanks for the invite CHI!

Secret Santa

Christmas is a time for giving so that's exactly what we did - Secret Santa style!
With a budget of only £5 (there is a recession you know!) people had to get creative;
Andy received a Pet's with Tourettes book, cute photos but appalling language!
Charlie got a gingerbread house kit, yippee!
Mince pies were eaten and lots of merriment took place!

Beattie McGuinness Bungay - Christmas Party

Well, I kicked off the Christmas Party season last night with a BIG bang!

I was invited to go and hang out at 33 Portland Place with the BMB gang for an evening of fun and frolics. Their ‘shabby chic’ venue was fabulous and huge! So I drank Vodka Tonics whilst sweeping elegantly from room to room.

First of all, I hit The Casino where I won loooooads of money, I know it was only pretend but I then got over-excited and lost it all again. I was embarrassed by my rubbishness and decided to make my way down to the ground floor and listen for a while to ‘Dusty Springfield’ (I thought she was dead?). There were lots of folk in fancy dress jiving the night away in here.

Then it was down to the mysterious basement to see the Pole Dancers, wow, those ladies are sensational! They made shapes I never thought possible! But then I guess they’ve not got a tail and stumpy orange fluffy limbs.... When they had finished their routine, Kelly Sands and I had a little spin ourselves (see pictures above) but judging by the laughing onlookers I’m not sure we quite had it going on...

Lastly it was into the S&M room, which featured secluded beds with black satin sheets, leather whips, handcuffs and... A hot tub!
Someone tried to tie me up, I got a little scared a decided it was time to call it night... Eek!

Much fun was had, so big big thank you to BMB!

Tribewanted - Vorovoro Fiji

After a short stop back in London I was off again to Vorovoro, a far away island in northern Fiji to join the Tribewanted team.

What’s it all about?
Well the Tribewanted team and working together with the island locals to develop a cross-cultural community from scratch, mxing traditional Fijian customs and ways of living with international ideas for sustainability and innovation.
On-line, Tribewanted has built a fantastic social network, members follow the island projects and can cast votes over tribal issues.

Whilst I was on the island there were all sorts of interesting projects for me to get involved in!
First up we was the building of the new showers, okay I admit I didn’t actually do much there except collect some shells for the mosiac design, I’m an orange fluffy mouse for God’s Sake!
We were also building a new bure (a thatched Fijian home) for the community manager so I spent some time bashing the bark off trunks from Mangrove trees.
My favourite thing was learning to MEKE! (traditional Fijian dancing) It was Fiji Independence Day and we had the honour of dancing the Meke for the whole of the Northern Province including all of it's Chiefs! It was nerve-raking but soooo much fun!

I spent many evenings singing songs and drinking grog - a mild narcotic drink made from Kava root (it tasted funny and made my tongue go numb).
I also fed the chickens, collected firewood, played volleyball, went snorkeling and watched spectacular sunsets whilst swinging in a hammock.

It was such a great and unique experience a million miles from the fast paced lives that we lead in this crazy advertising jungle.
I would highly recommend it to anyone who needs to step out of the madness of a while!

Check them out!

New York! New York!

Hi Guys,

Apologises for the lack of posts lately I’m afraid I've been off jet setting around the globe!
First of all I went to a place called the Big Apple on ‘business’ with Chris Page the ginger boss man. We wined and dined with lots of important advertising folk in Soho House – didn’t understand most of what that were saying but they all seemed very cheery and I think we may be going back again soon...!

Bye Bye BenO!

Last Friday we said a fond farewell to The BenO.
After 2 years of working hard for the likes of BBH and CHI he has decided to call it a day and go on to pastures new, media planning is to be his new challenge (whatever that means?)
We really will miss him dearly. He made a mean cup of tea and always knew how to make us chuckle even in times of stress.
'Hello Kelly it's Lou!'
'I can't possibly do anything without a biscuit'
So I guess there's only really one last thing to say.
Ben... Ben!... come closer to me Ben, I need to tell you something... I like......
I like.... the frame.

Farewell Jacko!

Hi Guys

Last night we all went down to Imperial China in Lisle Street with the folks from TBWA to bid Alan Jackson a fond farewell, after working with him for 10 YEARS it really won’t be the same with out him! What a night we had! Chinese food and the best karaoke I have quite simply ever heard!

We all arrived around 7pm, and scurried to our seats in our own private room! Oh very posh! Then, whilst munching on prawn crackers Alan got straight on the mic..GO ALAN!
From Duran Duran to 50 cent, we sang it all…even I had a go. I was a bit squeaky at first, but soon got into it!

After plenty of delicious pancakes, various dishes and lots of wine we called it a night and said our goodbyes and goodlucks to good old Alan ...got a feeling it’s not the last we’ve heard of him though ;D

Thanks to all the guys at TBWA for a fantastic night!

Latitude

Hi Everyone,

Phew! I spent last weekend in a field in Suffolk with twenty thousand mad people, enjoying lots of cider and music and stuff at the Latitude festival... Wow! They all get into a bit of state don’t they?

I’m feeling slightly weird and smelly now and I could really do with a good scrubbing to get all that festival grime off my fur. I think next time I go I’ll get in the queue for the showers a bit earlier! All the music was great though and I saw some great bands – I danced so hard my little ears nearly came off!

Enjoy the photos, although I’m afraid I cant remember being in all of them....

Holiday season now, I cant wait to see where I end up next, speak soon.

Softball Success!

(Click on the images to enlarge)

Hi Guys
Well, well, well...!
I took a trip down to Regents Park last night to join our amazing softball team and I think I must have been their lucky charm because we WON 11-8 against the Steak Media’s Raging Bulls. Impressive, eh?
Ben hit a home run, and even Kelly played well dodging a knock out injury. (its all gripping stuff!)
Looking forward to the game against RETOX next week.

GO team GO!

Holiday to France!

(Click on the pictures to enlarge them)

Well I’ve just had a brilliant week in France. Mmmmm the cheese was quite simply fantastic! As you see from the photos I had a great time – I managed to do a bit of sight seeing, made some lovely friends and even topped up my tan. I forgot to pack my arm bands and had to be rescued from the pool, but apart from that everything was wonderful

My Mousey Pictures

So, we asked you all to send in pics of me and where I am living now. A big cheeesy thank you to everyone who contributed.
All the photos that I recieved generally fell into one of two main categories: The nice section, with me having fun and the not so nice section with me being abused. I found some of them very scary .....how did I end up being suck up a cats bottom? (Sorry Mark at BBH you don’t win a prize!!) Oh and Cathy at TBWA please stop using me as a voodoo doll, it’s not my fault!
Kelly even managed to get my photo taken with Love Island ‘celebrity’ Callum Best! Can anyone take a photo with a more famous celebrity?

Anyway congratulations to Jon @ Krow for this photo. I can’t really remember what happened that night......all I know is that the champagne was nice. The rest of the champagne is on its way to you. Mmmmm champagne.

Don't forget to click on the photos to make them bigger!

Mesh at Shoreditch House with Scrawl Collective

Well this post is a bit later than it should be so apologises for that I've been struck down with really nasty throat infection, not nice :(
Anyway I went to the vet and he gave me some penicillin so I feel better now, yay!

On the 17th of this month Mesh minds teamed up with Scrawl Collective to create an evening of fun for the creative community at the super dooper cool Shoreditch House. So Louise Taylor (my very talented creator who hand-made 300 of me to send out to specially selected folk in the advertising world) and I thought we'd go along and check it out... oh get me!
On arrival we enjoyed a complimentary Ivan The Terrible vodka cocktail and then went and had a chat to the brilliant Scrawl Collective street artists Will Ainley, David Walker and David Dixon (Dist One) who were drawing bespoke illustrations live as we watched and selling them for a bargain price of £20, what a treat!

For those of you who haven't heard of Mesh Minds check them out at www.meshminds.com
They're a collaborative network connecting the arts and business worlds to promote investment in the arts.
They're an invitation only network (so not just any old Tom, Dick or Leicester!) so you'll have to try and find someone who's already in to recommend you failing that they do allow non-members to attend events for a slightly higher fee, next one is on the 16th May, quick get your ticket!

For those of you who don't know Scrawl Collective check them out as well www.scrawlcollective.co.uk
An eclectic mix of street artists whose styles vary enormously but one thing holding them together is their “Hand B4 Mouse” motto they all favour the hand made approach which gives them a raw urban edge.
They've always got cool exhibitions going on, they were in LA in Jan! So check out their website for the latest news.

We are 15 years old!

Wow can you believe it Three Blind Mice is 15 today, yes that's right those 2 blokes Andy and Chris set up their company on April fools day! Lunatics!
Get this if you think the company's name is rather silly they were going to call it Balloon!? Glad they didn't though as I'm really starting to enjoy this gig.
Anyway to celebrate we had a big yummy chocolate cake and some more of the bubbly stuff.
It was all really lovely, we were reminiscing about the old days until The Ginger one and Sellsy started a food fight! Mayhem followed and I got covered in chocolate (which was quite nice) then had to have my first bath (not so nice!).

Check out the pics - if you click on them they go big.

Creative Handbook Launch Party

Creative Review has merged with Creative Handbook and have just published a re-branded book.... guess who was asked along to the launch party last night!?

It was held at Century a private members club on Shaftesbury Ave - super dooper posh!
They bought round lots of yummy food like crab cakes, chicken satay and red onion with goats cheese tarts which were all sized perfectly for little old me - all the humans looked a bit strange eating them though?

It was a great night and I got to meet lots of interesting folk including Sim Marriot, a talented Jelly artist and Mark Whiteside from BBH, he was doing some crazy dance moves towards the end of the evening and even ended up laying on the floor at one point.
Note to self. do not forget camera again!

Eating, Drinking and Singing with CHI

Wow! Last Thursday was my first time out with advertising folk and boy, do they like to party!

The guys at CHI and I went out for for an evening of fun and frolics and as you can see the crowd seemed pretty excited to see me! Some were perhaps slightly confused about the services that I offer... Ahem! I saw some things close-up that I've never seen before, and believe me I’m in no hurry to see again... Ever!!
The man with the gingery hair told me I don't have to do that every time we go out and that they would still probably ‘use us’ anyway, phew....

We started off at Momo's in Heddon Street where we dined on sweet and spicy wild pigeon pie and lamb tagine, along with lots of these minty sweet drinks that they call Mojitos... yummo!

Then we headed over to Lucky Voice in Poland Street where everyone dressed up in silly wigs and sung our hearts out to tunes by Madonna and Jon Bon Jovi until we all got a bit giddy and fell into the street. It was a bit quiet here at Mousequarters the next day and everyone seemed a bit ‘tired’. I feel absolutely fine though and I cant wait to do it all again, who’s next?

A good time was had by all but I’d like to give a special mention to Woody and his fabulous dance moves and David Winterbourne for his excellent rapping skills... Who’d have thought it to look at them!?

New Mouse in the House!

Hello Peeps,
How you doing?

So I'm the new guy at Three Blind Mice, you've probably seen me plastered all over the place by now as they been using me to give themselves a 'fresh look'.
Well the silly people have been running around like lunatics getting their new launch off the ground and have completely forgotten to give me a name so it's looks like it's down to you.
If you've got a suggestion email them at studio@three-blind-mice.co.uk or leave a comment here, the one they like the most will win a case of champagne - whatever that is?
They tried to make me drink some but it made me feel all wobbly, yuck!

Competition closes on 20th March so be quick!

Les Deux Alpes

Well with all the hours I've been putting in on the 're-vamp' for Three Blind Mice I was pretty beat so I decided to treat myself to a cheeky week in the alps with some friends.
As you can see in my pics we had a great time with lots of apres ski too!
No broken bones thanks goodness but a few bruises.
