Beattie McGuinness Bungay - Christmas Party

Well, I kicked off the Christmas Party season last night with a BIG bang!

I was invited to go and hang out at 33 Portland Place with the BMB gang for an evening of fun and frolics. Their ‘shabby chic’ venue was fabulous and huge! So I drank Vodka Tonics whilst sweeping elegantly from room to room.

First of all, I hit The Casino where I won loooooads of money, I know it was only pretend but I then got over-excited and lost it all again. I was embarrassed by my rubbishness and decided to make my way down to the ground floor and listen for a while to ‘Dusty Springfield’ (I thought she was dead?). There were lots of folk in fancy dress jiving the night away in here.

Then it was down to the mysterious basement to see the Pole Dancers, wow, those ladies are sensational! They made shapes I never thought possible! But then I guess they’ve not got a tail and stumpy orange fluffy limbs.... When they had finished their routine, Kelly Sands and I had a little spin ourselves (see pictures above) but judging by the laughing onlookers I’m not sure we quite had it going on...

Lastly it was into the S&M room, which featured secluded beds with black satin sheets, leather whips, handcuffs and... A hot tub!
Someone tried to tie me up, I got a little scared a decided it was time to call it night... Eek!

Much fun was had, so big big thank you to BMB!

Tribewanted - Vorovoro Fiji

After a short stop back in London I was off again to Vorovoro, a far away island in northern Fiji to join the Tribewanted team.

What’s it all about?
Well the Tribewanted team and working together with the island locals to develop a cross-cultural community from scratch, mxing traditional Fijian customs and ways of living with international ideas for sustainability and innovation.
On-line, Tribewanted has built a fantastic social network, members follow the island projects and can cast votes over tribal issues.

Whilst I was on the island there were all sorts of interesting projects for me to get involved in!
First up we was the building of the new showers, okay I admit I didn’t actually do much there except collect some shells for the mosiac design, I’m an orange fluffy mouse for God’s Sake!
We were also building a new bure (a thatched Fijian home) for the community manager so I spent some time bashing the bark off trunks from Mangrove trees.
My favourite thing was learning to MEKE! (traditional Fijian dancing) It was Fiji Independence Day and we had the honour of dancing the Meke for the whole of the Northern Province including all of it's Chiefs! It was nerve-raking but soooo much fun!

I spent many evenings singing songs and drinking grog - a mild narcotic drink made from Kava root (it tasted funny and made my tongue go numb).
I also fed the chickens, collected firewood, played volleyball, went snorkeling and watched spectacular sunsets whilst swinging in a hammock.

It was such a great and unique experience a million miles from the fast paced lives that we lead in this crazy advertising jungle.
I would highly recommend it to anyone who needs to step out of the madness of a while!

Check them out!

New York! New York!

Hi Guys,

Apologises for the lack of posts lately I’m afraid I've been off jet setting around the globe!
First of all I went to a place called the Big Apple on ‘business’ with Chris Page the ginger boss man. We wined and dined with lots of important advertising folk in Soho House – didn’t understand most of what that were saying but they all seemed very cheery and I think we may be going back again soon...!
